Episcopal Health Services is the only hospital providing emergency and ambulatory care to the densely populated, diverse, and medically underserved populations of the Rockaways and Five Towns in southern Queens County and southwestern Nassau County of New York. The patient families referred for adoption
are identified by the Health & Wellness Center, Community Mental Health Center, Family and Children’s Services and Social Work staff who work with and care for them. The adoption form you will receive contains a holiday “wish list” to help guide your shopping.The gifts purchased are at the donor's discretion.

Families came out in droves to St. John’s Episcopal Hospital’s Community and Back to School Wellness Fair on Aug. 3. The sun shined as the hospital had the street in front of the building set up games for the children and tables with vital information for their parents.

St. John’s Medical Group’s Pediatrics and Adult Medicine Practice received a donation of almost 400 children’s books from local teenager, Lily Cohen. Ms. Cohen worked with her mother Jennifer, who grew up in Far Rockaway, to collect the books from family and friends as part of her Bat Mitzvah charitable project
Students from WAVE Prep Elementary School donated baby items to St. John’s for new mothers who deliver at the hospital. The group of twenty students, ranging in grades from Kindergarten to Fifth, presented CEO Gerard Walsh and Denise Potts, Director of Maternal Child Health with the items, which included toys, bibs, diapers, blankets, and clothing
